Tadoba was one of the best trips in term of sighting. June was the perfect season to visit the tiger land. Tadoba is well known for tiger sighting but we were more than lucky on various occasions. We were in two different gypsies and as a group we spotted 4 tigers, 2 leopards, 2 leopard cubs, 2 sloth bears, along with herbivores like spotted deers, sambars, gaurs, etc. We also saw many birds like Indian Pitta, Paradise flycatcher (orange & white morphed), Night Jars, Malabar Pied Hornbills, Red napped ibis, Grey jungle fowls, Mottled owls, Orange headed thrush, Crested serpent eagle, Indian hoopoe. Flame back woodpecker, Indian roller, Indian cuckoo, Verditer flycatcher, Brain fever (common hawk cuckoo), Golden oriole, Black hooded oriole, Open bill stock, etc. Some creatures like Indian grey mongoose, Monitor lizard & different frog species added to the diverse sighting.
A session with one of the naturalists in Tadoba was the icing on the cake!
