Itinerary

Date 1st - 12th July 2020

DAY 01 : ARRIVAL AT CHANDIGARH - TRANSFERS TO NARKANDA

Arrival at Chandigarh Airport. Transfers to Narkanda. It’s approximately 6 hr drive from Chandigarh. Reach Narkanda. Check in to the hotel. Rest of the evening at Leisure. Dinner. Overnight at Narkanda.

DAY 02 : NARKANDA - KALPA/SANGLA (CHITKUL- LAST VILLAGE OF INDIA)

After an early breakfast, leave for Kalpa/Sangla. Travel time - 5 hrs approx. Reach Kalpa. Check-in to the hotel. Explore the surroundings. We can visit, Sapni fort. A paradise for art and architecture lovers, Sapni Fort is an epitome of architectural grandeur. Situated near the Sapni Village, this fort is seven stories high and exemplifies the relics of bygone era. Visit Chitkul. It is the last inhabited village near the Indo-China border. The Indian road ends here. Spend some time in the village interacting with locals, understanding their lifestyle and culture. Back to the hotel. Overnight at Kalpa/Sangla.

DAY 03 : KALPA - NAKO - TABO

Early start to the day. Breakfast. Later, we set our journey exploring the Himalayan Hamlets. En route we visit Nako Monastery and lake. Later, We leave for Tabo after spending some peaceful time at the lake. It takes 1hr to reach Tabo. Reach Tabo. Check in to the hotel. Rest. Dinner. Overnight at Tabo.

DAY 04 : TABO MONASTERY (OLDEST IN INDIA)- PETROGLYPHS - MANE
Rise and shine. After breakfast, we visit Tabo Monastery. Established in 996AD, the second oldest after Potala Palace in Lahsa. Later, visit the to see Rock Carvings (Petroglyphs). We leave for Mane Village. It’s approximately 2 hrs journey. Reach the beautiful Village. Rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight at Mane Village.
DAY 05 : MANE - DHANKAR - KAZA

After breakfast, take a walk around the village. Interact with the locals and learn about their culture and lifestyle at such a high altitude place. Later, we leave for Kaza. Enroute, we visit Dhankar Monastery. We can also do a trek to Dhankar Lake, a pristine high altitude lake which is about 1.5 - 2 hrs hike. Leave for Kaza. Reach Kaza. Overnight at Kaza.

DAY 06 : KAZA - KEY - KIBBER - CHICHAM BRIDGE - KAZA

After breakfast, leave for Key. We visit Key Gompa dating back to 13th Century. It is the biggest monastery of Spiti Valley housing 100 monks. We visit Chicham Bridge, Asia’s Highest bridge. Spend some time clicking and later, we leave for Kibber, a tiny hamlet at an altitude of 14,000ft, with a population of only 366 people. After exploring these places, we leave for Kaza. Reach Kaza. Overnight at Kaza.

DAY 07 : KAZA - HIKKIM - KOUMIK - LANGZA - LOSAR

Post breakfast, we leave to visit the Highest Post office in the world. We spend some time writing postcards to our friends and families. From here we move to Koumik which is the Highest Motorable Village in the world. Later, leave for The Fossil Village, Langza. Travel to Losar. Overnight at Losar.

DAY 08 : LOSAR - CHANDRATAL
After breakfast, pack your bags. We leave for Chandratal. We trek to Chandratal Lake which is approximately 1 hr trek each side depending upon the group’s pace. Overnight at Camp.
DAY 09 : CHANDRATAL - MANALI

Post breakfast, we travel to Manali. Reach Manali. Rest of the evening at Leisure. Overnight at Manali.

DAY 10 : MANALI SIGHTSEEING (BUFFER DAY)

After breakfast, we leave for Manali sightseeing. We can trek to Jogini Falls, visit Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple and Van Vihar. The evening can be spent shopping. Overnight at Manal​i.

DAY 11 : MANALI - JIBHI

After an early breakfast, leave for Jibhi. Jibhi is a small pastoral village in Banjar Valley, with its natural beauty intact and untouched. We can trek to Cheni Kothi, a historic tower built in 17th C. It is approximately 2 hrs steep climb. Spend the evening at the serene waterfall. Back to the campsite. Overnight at Jibhi.

DAY 12 : JIBHI - CHANDIGARH
Post breakfast, leave for Chandigarh. Reach Chandigarh Airport/Railway Station. Travel back home with beautiful memories to cherish for a lifetime.
