Turtle Fest Velas

Day 1: TRAVEL TO VELAS

(Distance: 240 km; Travel Time – 6 hrs approx)

Leave for Velas in AC Bus at 2200hrs.

Date 2: AT VELAS – BANKOT FORT

At 0500hrs arrive at Velas. Check in to one of the Konkani houses. Freshen up. Leave for the morning session of Turtle sighting. Come back to the house for breakfast. Leave to visit Bankot Fort, where we will explore and enjoy photography. Back to the house for delicious lunch. Rest for a while or you will always have an option to explore the surroundings. After evening tea, leave for the evening session of Turtle sighting. After the session, there will be an interactive session with the experts & conservationists (TBC). Back to the house to enjoy delicious Maharashtrian-style dinner. Rest of the evening at leisure. EOD

Day 3: BOAT RIDE & BIRDING SESSION

Rise early morning. Freshen up. Leave for another Turtle sighting session. Back to the house for delicious breakfast. Leave for Mumbai. Take a boat ride to Harihareshwar. Travel to enjoy the exciting birding session around the area of Harihareshwar & Shrivardhan. Witness and know more about the habitat, and challenges faced by some of the endangered birds in the area. Break for lunch (on your own). After enjoying the delicious lunch leave for Mumbai. Arrive in Mumbai late evening with wonderful memories to cherish till we see the Olive Ridley turtles again in life.
